Bouncy Castle Hire in Dartford

Dartford is the busiest town on our western round, and it splits cleanly into three kinds of booking. There is the town centre and Crayford - older terraces, tight access, and a lot of parties in community halls. There are the big estates at Temple Hill and the newer family housing around Wilmington and Stone, where gardens are flatter and more generous. And there is the Darent valley fringe - Sutton-at-Hone, Hawley, South Darenth, Horton Kirby and Eynsford - where village halls do most of the work and the lanes get genuinely narrow.

We cover DA1, DA2, DA4, DA9 and DA10 - Dartford town, Crayford, Temple Hill, Barnesley, Wilmington, Stone, Bean, Greenhithe, Swanscombe, Sutton-at-Hone, Hawley and South Darenth. DA postcodes are outside our free ME-postcode delivery area, so a delivery charge applies (DA4 is currently £40; confirm the exact figure for your postcode when you book). Minimum order is £70.

Gardens in Dartford, Crayford and Temple Hill

Crayford and the older streets off Old Road and Crayford Road have the same access story as Victorian terraces everywhere: a narrow side passage is often the only route to the back. We need roughly 3ft of clear access to trolley a rolled inflatable through. If your gate is tighter, tell us at booking - we carry smaller units that fit most doorways, and we can bring a castle through the house on dust sheets if that is the only option. A quick photo of the route saves everyone time on the morning.

Temple Hill, Brent and the estates east of the town are mostly post-war and newer builds with flat, compact lawns. Measure the usable grass before you choose - a standard castle needs a 12ft x 15ft pitch plus clearance. If your lawn is on the small side, a disco dome or bounce-and-slide combo is often the better fit: full height, enclosed, and happy indoors as well as out.

Wilmington, Stone and the Bean side tend to have larger gardens, which is the upside - but several sit on a slope. A castle needs a reasonably level pitch to be safe; if your lawn slopes noticeably, send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before you pay rather than on the morning. If your only flat area is a patio or block paving, we anchor with sandbags instead of pegs - tell us the surface so we bring the right kit.

Out in the Darent valley - Sutton-at-Hone, Hawley, South Darenth, Horton Kirby, Eynsford - the lanes are narrow and parking is tight. A what3words reference or a clear landmark with your booking is genuinely useful, and if there is nowhere to pull in near your gate, tell us and we will plan a longer carry rather than discovering it at 7am.

Halls we deliver to in Dartford

Dartford has a strong choice of indoor space, which makes winter and wet-weather parties straightforward. These are venues we have delivered to, with the contact details we hold:

  • Temple Hill Community Centre - Temple Hill Square, Dartford DA1 5HY - 01322 343902. The obvious choice for the east-side estates; spacious and well used to children's parties.
  • The Baker Trust Hall - Maxim Road, Crayford DA1 4BG - 01322 558472. Convenient for Crayford and the west side; suits medium castles and soft play.
  • St Mary of the Crays Church Hall - Old Road, Crayford DA1 4DN. Central Crayford; book through the parish office.
  • Horton Kirby & South Darenth Village Hall - Horton Road, South Darenth DA4 9AX - 01322 865193. Notably good ceiling clearance - comfortably takes units up to 14ft high, so this is where taller slides and combos go.
  • Stone Pavilion Hall - Hayes Road, Stone DA9 9DS - 01322 384400. Modern, with good indoor clearance for disco domes and standard castles.
  • St Peter & St Paul's Church Hall - Swanscombe Street, Swanscombe DA10 0JZ - 01322 383160. The go-to hall in Swanscombe.
  • Swanscombe & Greenhithe community halls - book through Swanscombe and Greenhithe Town Council on 01322 385513. Greenhithe and the Bluewater-side estates are well covered here.
  • Tree Community Centre and other Dartford Borough Council centres - book via Dartford Borough Council. Several have sports-hall height, which is what you want for the larger kit.

The number to check before you book is the clear height under the lowest beam or light fitting, not the roof apex. Standard castles need at least 10ft (3.05m); slides and taller themed units need more. Every product page lists exact measurements.

We list these halls only to help you plan. We have no affiliation with any of them and receive no commission. Details were correct at the time of posting - confirm directly with the venue. It stays your responsibility to check the space and, where possible, view and measure it yourself; if a venue tells you an inflatable will fit and on the day it does not, we cannot be held liable and the balance is still payable. Our fuller list of halls covers the rest of Kent.

What Dartford families book

Hall bookings - and there are a lot of them in Dartford - lean towards our combined castle and soft play packages, because a hall gives you room to run both at once and keeps the under-threes away from the bigger children. Garden parties skew towards themed castles from £90.

For first birthdays and christenings, toddler soft play from £150 - ball pit, rockers and safety matting - is the natural fit for the smaller halls. And for school fairs, community fun days and playing-field events around Temple Hill, Wilmington and the Darent valley, our assault courses and larger slide units handle a crowd properly. Add-ons - candy floss, popcorn and party games - round out a hall booking nicely.

Delivery and timings in Dartford

Dartford is at the western edge of our round, so we schedule it deliberately. Garden deliveries run between 7am and 11am with collections between 5pm and 8pm; if you need a specific window, especially out in the villages, say so at booking and we will build the day around it. Hall hires work strictly to your venue's access and clear-down times. Overnight hire is available in a secure enclosed garden for an extra charge - often the sensible choice when the evening collection round is tight.

Safety, insurance and paperwork

Every inflatable we own is inspected annually to PIPA or RPII standard, all electrical equipment is PAT tested, and we carry £5 million public liability insurance as members of the BIHA. Dartford halls and school offices will usually ask to see certificates before they confirm your booking - ask us and we will email everything the same day.

Questions from Dartford customers

Do you cover Crayford, Temple Hill, Stone and Swanscombe as well as Dartford town?

Yes - all of DA1, DA2, DA4, DA9 and DA10, including Wilmington, Bean, Greenhithe, Sutton-at-Hone and South Darenth. A delivery charge applies outside the ME postcodes; confirm the figure when you book.

My Crayford terrace has a very narrow side gate. Can you still deliver?

Usually, yes. We need about 3ft clear at the tightest point. Measure it - including any bin store or meter box - and tell us the figure at booking. If it is tight we match you to a smaller unit or bring it through the house on dust sheets.

Which Dartford hall takes your biggest inflatables?

Horton Kirby & South Darenth Village Hall takes units up to 14ft high, and the Dartford Borough Council sports-hall sites (book via the council) have full height. Stone Pavilion and Temple Hill are best for standard castles and disco domes.

What happens if it rains or is windy?

Most of our castles have fitted rain covers and run through light showers. High wind is different - we work to a strict safety limit and will cancel rather than risk it, offering a date change. You can also cancel yourself free of charge up to 8am on the morning of your hire.

Is there a delivery charge to Dartford?

DA postcodes are outside our free ME-postcode delivery area, so a charge applies (DA4 is currently £40; confirm the exact figure for your postcode at booking). Minimum order is £70.

How much ceiling height do I need in a hall?

At least 10ft (3.05m) for a standard castle, measured to the lowest obstruction, and more for slides and taller themed units. Each product page lists the exact height.
