Bouncy Castle Hire in Strood
Strood is a short hop over the Medway from our base, which makes it one of the quickest jobs on our round and one of the areas we know best. We are in ME2 most weekends through the season - Frindsbury and Frindsbury Extra, Wainscott, Temple Marsh, the streets behind Strood station and the High Street, up through Cuxton and Halling, and out toward Bligh Way and Watling Street.

Strood is a garden-party town - here is how to make it work
Most of what we deliver in ME2 goes into back gardens, and ME2 gardens vary enormously street to street. Three practical points:
Know your footprint before you choose. Our standard castle occupies 12ft x 15ft, and on top of that we need a little breathing room on each side plus space for the blower at the back. If you have a modest rear garden - common in the terraces around the High Street and the older Frindsbury streets - measure the usable lawn first, then pick the unit, not the other way round. Every product page lists exact dimensions, and we would far rather you booked something that fits beautifully than something that technically squeezes in.
Gradient. Strood climbs steeply away from the river. Gardens in upper Frindsbury, along the roads toward Wainscott, and in Cuxton and Halling are frequently tiered or on a noticeable slope. A castle needs a reasonably level pitch. If yours is stepped, the flattest terrace is usually the answer even if it is smaller than you had hoped.
Power. The blower has to run continuously for the whole hire, from a standard 13-amp socket. We bring our own extension leads, but the cable does need a route back to the house - usually through a window or a back door. If your only outdoor socket is at the front, mention it when you book.
Halls in Strood, and what to do if they are booked
We will be straight with you: Strood has fewer hireable halls than Chatham or Maidstone, and the two we deliver to regularly get booked up well ahead in autumn and winter.

If neither has your date, do not give up on an indoor party - just widen the search slightly. Ten minutes from most Strood addresses you have the Rochester halls, including St Justus Church on The Fairway and St Stephen's Church Hall, which has better than average height clearance. Slightly further round, Chatham has the largest selection in Medway, and St Mary's Island Community Centre in particular takes very nearly our entire range. We charge the same delivery regardless of which side of the bridge you end up on, so choosing a hall in Rochester or Chatham costs you nothing extra with us.
Before you commit to any venue, get the clear ceiling height from the hall - measured beneath the lowest beam or light, not the roof peak. Standard castles need 10ft (3.05m); slides need substantially more.

Popular Strood bookings
Because gardens dominate here, our best-selling Strood hires are the mid-size units. Themed castles from £90 do the bulk of the work for children aged four and up. For smaller gardens and younger children, our toddler castles have a much smaller footprint and lower sides, which makes them a genuinely better fit for a compact ME2 lawn than a scaled-down big castle would be.
Indoor bookings at Galahad Avenue or Church Green tend to be castle plus soft play packages, and we also hire out extras - candy floss, popcorn and party games - which are worth considering when you have a hall for a fixed three-hour slot and want to fill it.
Getting to you: access and parking in ME2
The residential streets off Strood High Street and around the station are tight and often heavily parked, and we need van access reasonably close to your gate for around 20 minutes at delivery and again at collection. If your road is difficult, keeping a space free in front of the house genuinely speeds things up.
Side access needs to be roughly 3ft clear at its narrowest point - check for wheelie bins, meter boxes and low-hanging shrubs, since those are the things that catch people out rather than the gate itself. Where there is no side access at all, we can usually carry through the house on dust sheets; just flag it in advance.
Timings
Garden hires are delivered 7am to 11am and collected 5pm to 8pm. Because Strood sits at the start of our round, we can often offer an earlier delivery slot here than in the outlying areas - useful if your party starts at 11. Hall hires are timed to your venue's booked access and clear-down. Overnight hire in a secure garden is available for a small extra charge.
Insurance and testing
We hold £5 million public liability insurance, every inflatable is tested annually to PIPA or RPII standard, and all our blowers and electrical equipment are PAT tested. We are BIHA members. Both Strood halls will want to see documentation - ask and we will send it over the same day.

My garden is small. What is the smallest castle you do?
Our toddler range has the smallest footprint and is designed for under-fives. Send us your usable lawn measurements and we will tell you exactly which units fit, rather than guessing.
Do you cover Cuxton, Halling and Wainscott?
Yes - all of ME2 plus the neighbouring villages, at no additional delivery cost.
Can I book a hall in Rochester or Chatham instead and still use you?
Absolutely, and it costs you nothing extra. We deliver across the whole of Medway for the same price, so pick the hall with the right size and height and we will come to it.
Does the blower need to run the whole time?
Yes. It runs continuously from a normal household socket for the duration of your hire. If the power is switched off the inflatable deflates, so the socket needs to stay on.
How long does setup take?
Around 20 minutes for a standard castle, a little longer for combos and soft play packages. We always aim to be finished before your guests arrive, not as they do.
What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before, and right up to 8am on the morning of your hire if the weather turns.
